The current emphasis of research is directed toward the evaluation of new sensors and transducers; new means of digitizing physiological data during recordings; means of analyzing data on- line; new diagnostic approaches with specifically designed algorithms for various test formats; and algorithms to identify the countermeasure tactics during PDD tests. This research will enhance the scientific evaluation of existing PDD tests and will facilitate the introduction of totally new PDD test types and formats. 48 references
