This report provides statistical information of the average daily prison population by institution for calendar year 1994 in California. The data are presented in three ways: summary by type of commitment; summary by institutions for men; and summary by institutions for women. Also included is a summary sheet of the average daily prison population by commitment type, facility type, and institution level. The average daily prison populations are based on the end of the month population counts. The populations include the Department of Corrections' institutions, community-based facilities, and State hospitals.
