Criminal organizations will be tied into larger networks that will use technology and communications to operate more efficiently and with greater impunity. Sports gambling, prostitution rings, trafficking in newborn infants, unlawful trafficking in fetuses, waste disposal, trafficking in arms and nuclear materials, and infiltration of governments are also probable developments.
