This 1994 Annual Report of the King County Police Department (Washington State) contains statistics on crime, arrests, and arrestee characteristics, and provides information on the activities of various divisions and operational units.
Abstract
A crime summary shows that in calendar year 1994, a total of 29,722 Part I offenses and 26,826 Part II offenses were recorded by the police, decreases of 0.2 percent and 1.2 percent respectively from 1993. Criminal homicide increased 4.3 percent, and robbery increased 11.8 percent; however, forcible rape (including attempts) decreased 25.9 percent. Arson increased 23.9 percent. An activity summary shows the number of calls for service, dispatched calls, adult arrests, juvenile arrests, traffic enforcement, officers assaulted, gang-related incidents, domestic violence incidents, and hate crimes/malicious harassment. Crime statistics are presented by precinct. Activity information is provided on each community policing storefront, special operations activity, the Criminal Investigation Division, traffic enforcement activity, traffic accident investigation activity, the Communications Section, community-oriented activity, and specialized units activity.
