A chapter on families addresses parenting, structure and interaction, and intervention and therapy for families. A chapter on the social and physical environment of juveniles discusses poverty and wealth, multiculturalism, environmental hazards, and TV and advertising. Developmental variations are considered in another chapter, which discusses development, assessment, and interventions. Behavioral problems is the subject of chapter 4; topics reviewed are aggression, antisocial behavior, attention deficit/hyperactivity, risk-taking behavior, and juvenile delinquency. Three chapters discuss topics pertinent to school difficulties, sexuality, and physical and mental disabilities.
