This article discusses some of the effects of widespread violence portrayed on television.
Abstract
The author argues that violence on television is the product of a complex manufacturing and marketing machine. Long-term and consistent exposure to televised violence tends to contribute to viewers' feeling of living in a mean and gloomy world.
