Nebraska has enacted legislation that deals with the collection, maintenance, dissemination, and security of criminal history information and with public access to such information.
Abstract
Legislative provisions define what constitutes criminal history record information and identify procedures and requirements for collecting and maintaining accurate criminal history record information. In addition, legislative provisions cover public access to criminal history record information, criminal justice information system security, criminal identification (fingerprints and other police records), and government records that may be withheld from the public.
