This report presents 1993 crime statistics collected under the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program in Alaska.
Abstract
This report covers statistics on part I index crimes, which include four offense categories of violent crimes, i.e., murder, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault, and three offense categories of property crime, i.e., burglary, larceny, and motor vehicle theft. The Alaska UCR program also gathers data on arson, officer assault, and persons arrested for both part I and part II crimes. Each major section in this report covers one crime index offense, and consists of a trend table, summary of the 1993 statistics on that offense, a graph depicting crimes committed each month, and arrest information tabulated by age, sex, and race. There is also information relevant to each type of crime when appropriate, e.g., type of weapon used, place of occurrence, and type of entry.
