This report presents statistics on the murders, rapes, robberies, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny/theft, vehicle theft, and arson reported to the police department of Aurora, Colorado, during 1994.
Abstract
A total of 20,576 of these crimes were reported in Aurora in 1993; these included 4,275 violent crimes. The police department cleared 35 percent of these crimes, including 64.7 percent of the violent crimes and 27.2 percent of the property crimes. The police made a total of 6,369 arrests, of 4,120 adults and 2,249 juveniles. The arrests included 2,058 arrests for violent crimes and 4,311 arrests for property crime. The value of property reported as stolen during 1994 was more than $14 million, while more than $5 million worth of property, some of which was stolen in previous years, was recovered. Tables and map
