The National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders in the United Kingdom maintains that offenders do not forfeit their rights to dignity and respect, that there is much that can be done to prevent crime, and that there are measures which can be effective and human in reintegrating offenders back into the community.
Abstract
This edition of the NACRO newsletter describes how the organization runs Youth Choices programs which help at-risk youth with training or accommodation, uses Youth Activities Units to mobilize volunteers to work with young people at risk, maintains court-based desks to provide advice and assistance to youth involved with the criminal justice process, and works in prisons across the United Kingdom to help prepare inmates for release.
