Student Court is structured in a manner similar to Superior Court and offers student offenders an alternative to out-of-school suspension. The students who act as judge, jurors, school and student advocates, clerks, and probation officers are enrolled in courses on judicial review and court training; this experience reinforces their classroom instruction. Student Court deals with Level One violations of the school conduct code, which cover, inter alia, profanity, smoking in unauthorized areas, littering, insubordination, cheating, and gambling.
