Abstract
The curriculum covers the role and specific responsibilities of police personnel at a disaster, including the assumption of initial command, initiation of an incident command system, establishing a perimeter, isolating hazards, maintaining control over entry and exit, and the initiation of proper notifications. Additional sections detail the incident command system and discuss considerations for specific incidents, including aircraft crashes, different types of fires, and situations involving threats or use of bombs and other explosives.
