The estimated total index crimes in the State decreased 9.2 percent from 1993 to 1994, while New York City reported a 11.7 percent decrease. Among the jurisdictions outside New York City, law enforcement agencies in the 100,000 to 999,999 population group reported a 4.9 percent decrease in index offenses, agencies in the 50,000 to 99,999 group decreased 4.1 percent, while the 25,000 to 49,999 group decreased 4.9 percent.
