This report presents statistical tables regarding the numbers and characteristics of State inmate populations and parolees in California for each month from February 1994 through February 1995.
Abstract
In February 1995, correctional institutions had a total of 126,534 inmates, an increase of 5,757 over the previous year. This total included 118,188 males and 8,346 females. A total of 10,198 inmates entered the system and 9,824 were released during February 1995. Other tables provide details regarding monthly movements, admission or return status by institution, the racial and ethnic composition of the institutions, parole populations and movements by commitment and movement type, the racial and ethnic composition of parolees, and inmate and parolee gender. Tables and glossary of terms and definitions
