This book establishes the violent history of skinheads in America and suggests why they have emerged as a threat to civil peace.
Abstract
The author begins by investigating the English roots of the skinhead style and the development of the American brand of skinhead ideology within larger youth group scenes. The skinhead movement is examined in terms of the ideas and activities of its members, their organizational structure, the role of music in their establishment, and the damage they have caused in American society. Information was obtained from first-hand interviews and from several civil rights organizations concerned with the influence of these far-right politically violent groups.
