This report presents statistical data on the numbers and characteristics of offenders and the entries and exits from correctional programs in Washington State during fiscal year 1995.
Abstract
The average daily population in major institutions in June 1995 was 8,680, the number for minor institutions was 1,162, and 956 were on work release. Data are also provided by gender, by location, by race, and for violent offenses. Other tables focus on the distribution of sentencing authority within institutions and work release, comparisons of admissions and releases, admissions by month and type of admission, admissions by type and county of conviction, admissions by age at admission, and characteristics and types of releases.
