This report presents statistics on reported crimes, criminal investigations, adult and juvenile arrests, traffic law enforcement, and police employment and expenditures in Los Angeles during 1994.
Abstract
A total of 78 Part I offenses were reported and 12.3 arrests took place per 1,000 population in 1994. The tables cover police costs in each part of the city; the numbers and types of Part I and Part II offenses; the numbers of police officers killed or assaulted; and the numbers of arrests by location and type of offense, by month, by demographic characteristics, and by geographic area. Further tables focus on traffic accidents by month and location, traffic injuries and fatalities, property damage from traffic accidents, incoming telephone calls, units dispatched in each part of the city, the numbers and characteristics of sworn and civilian personnel, and monthly comparisons of crimes.
