This paper examines international experiences with releasing prison inmates to probation and the changes in Hungary's regulations on this topic.
Abstract
Probation is the most common method for shortening the time of the prison sentence. The principle, which is also the basis of progressive prison systems, is to allow inmates to become adjusted gradually to society and freedom.
