This article describes a day of the police training established by the police headquarters in Budapest, Hungary, in response to the order by the Assistant Commissioner of the National Police Headquarters that training in drugs and drug law enforcement be organized for police officers in the public order and traffic control units.
Abstract
A survey of the National Police Headquarters in 1993 revealed that police officers on the beat do not know enough about drugs. The author is a first lieutenant in the Public Safety Department of the Budapest Police Headquarters. (Publisher summary modified)
