This crime prevention kit, disseminated by the National Crime Prevention Council, is designed to help communities develop effective crime prevention programs.
Abstract
The main part of this kit describes statistics on crime, the family, the victimization of juveniles, and drug use. It describes different community-based crime prevention programs and provides a sample press release, highlights of Crime Prevention Month 1994, a calendar of special observances to promote crime prevention, a list of educational products and resources, and tips on preparing camera-ready materials for a community crime prevention campaign. The kit also contains over 30 reproducible brochures, posters, and articles, designed to complement each section of this guide.
