This document presents more than 2,300 street terms that refer to specific drug types or drug activity; the list is intended to aid law enforcement personnel, public health professionals, and other criminal justice professionals who work with the drug issue.
Abstract
The list is organized three ways: (1) alphabetically, (2) by drug type, and (3) by topic. All terms are cross-referenced where possible. A single term or similar terms may refer to various drugs or have different meanings, reflecting geographic and demographic variations in slang. All known meanings and spellings are included. The list covers marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin opium, hallucinogens, stimulants, depressants, designer drugs, inhalants, PCP, and steroids. It also includes terms for costs and quantities, drug use, and the drug trade.
