The number of escapes from California's correctional institutions and camps decreased from 72 in 1993 to 56 in 1994, and the number of escapes from community correctional centers decreased from 1,327 in 1993 to 985 in 1994.
Abstract
The institution and camp escape rate per 100 average daily population decreased from 0.07 in 1993 to 0.05 in 1994. All 56 escapees during calendar year 1994 were men. Detailed data are tabulated on escapes from institutions, camps, and community correctional centers between 1945 and 1994 and on male escapes and apprehensions from institutions and camps during 1994. 5 tables
