Military support for counterdrug operations require interagency coordination and collaboration, often at the task force level or below. Careful planning and coordination are essential when an operation entails collaboration between personnel from different backgrounds (i.e., law enforcement and military) with diverse types of experience and organizational missions. This report discusses issues such as decision making in multiagency operations, command and control structures, and operating differences between law enforcement agencies and the military in terms of command and control, staffing, and logistics. 1 figure, 18 notes, and 1 appendix
