The purpose of the conference was to lay the groundwork for the creation of a pan-European network of all local communities actively engaged in crime prevention. This report includes plenary presentations given by representatives of the Great Britain Home Office, the Metropolitan Police Service of London, the Netherlands Director of Crime Prevention, the European Parliament, and EUROPOL. Workshop presentations focused on issues including crime prevention through environmental and architectural design, information sharing, the social reintegration of offenders, urban delinquency, crime prevention technology, and a strategy for building successful anticrime partnerships. 1 appendix
