Abstract
It is intended for use as an interagency communication tool for practitioners in the California criminal and juvenile justice systems. Based on suggestions from users, this edition has enhanced the listing of State correctional agencies and has refined information about police agencies, as well as added municipal courts, public defenders, and local jails to the county listing. The directory is intended for use through the remainder of 1995 and through 1996; the next edition is to be released in March 1997. The directory listings contain the agency name, address, phone number, and fax number, as well as the names and phone numbers of significant agency personnel. The county agencies listed include courts, district attorneys, public defenders, juvenile justice commissions, probation departments, police departments, sheriff departments, jails, work release/furlough programs, department of social services, and victim/witness programs. State agencies listed are the Department of Justice, Health and Welfare Agency, Youth and Adult Correctional Agency and its various boards and departments, the highway patrol, State police, State university police, and the University of California Police. Federal agencies listed are the Federal prisons located in California. The private agencies in the directory are the California Probation, Parole, and Correctional Association; the National Council on Crime and Delinquency; and the National Organization for Victims Assistance.
