The first section discusses the psychodynamics of sex offenders, offers an introduction to the integrative model of treatment, outlines theories of sex offenses, describes characteristics and typologies of sex offenders, stresses the cost effectiveness of treatment versus incarceration, and explores issues unique to female sex offenders. The book discusses the implementation and administration of sex offender treatment programs, and covers different aspects of the actual treatment, including evaluation, clinical assessment, treatment planning, behavior modification, and group therapy, as well as aftercare treatment programs.
