The mission of the National White Collar Crime Center (NWCCC) is to serve as a nationwide support system for preventing, investigating, and prosecuting economic crimes.
Abstract
Through a unique partnership involving the NWCCC, the Bureau of Justice Assistance, State and local criminal justice agencies, and other public and private organizations, the NWCCC is developing new and innovative services to benefit its members and ultimately individual consumers. The NWCCC recognizes that fighting economic crimes involves a complex and intricate process and that expertise in multiple criminal investigative and prosecutorial disciplines is needed. A brief history of the NWCCC is presented, and training support provided by the NWCCC to prevent computer crime is discussed. The NWCCC's structure, goals, objectives, and membership services are described, and biographic sketches of its Board of Directors are included.
