This national directory of programs that provide services to battered women is an update of the June 1979 directory of such programs.
Abstract
The revised materials were collected between July 1979 and January 1980. The programs are listed alphabetically by State and city or town within the State. There are approximately 850 listings in the directory. Where available, the information on each program addresses project title, address, city, State, zip code, telephone number, contact person, kinds of services, and funding sources. Services offered by the various programs include legal aid; counseling; referral; hotline; housing; child care; transportation; community education; peer support; nutrition services; advocacy; and liaison with police, medical, and legal services.
