This directory provides information on more than 2,000 paid and unpaid youth development internships in nonprofit human service agencies across the United States.
Abstract
The directory is intended for use by persons preparing for a career, looking for their first job, reentering the work force, or considering a career change. The agencies help youth develop social, moral, emotional, physical, and cognitive competencies through organizations and activities that facilitate mentoring, arts, values education, leadership development, community service, sports and recreation, schoolaged child care, career counseling, job skills training, life skills training, health education, camping, environmental education, ethnic or cultural enrichment, tutoring, and academic enrichment. The agencies are listed alphabetically by State. For each organization, the listing includes the address, an agency descriptions, the responsibilities involved in full-time and part-time internships, eligibility requirements, and guidelines on how to contact the organization.
