Abstract
The manual for program facilitators lists the steps, sample implementation time line, and sample training agendas for use in training faculty and peer mediators. The manual notes that it can take up to 16 weeks to set up a peer mediation program before mediation sessions can be scheduled. Additional sections present information and guidelines for conducting training on five topics: (1) understanding conflict, (2) dealing with feelings, (3) communication skills, (4) the mediation process, and (5) mediation issues such as confidentiality and neutrality. The manual for peer mediators provides an overview of the components of training and written guidelines, forms, and checklists on each of the five topics covered in the training. Appended glossaries, questions and answers about peer mediation, announcements, application form, permission form, data form, and related materials
