Abstract
The first chapter presents the philosophy of the Children's Creative Response to Conflict program, the themes on which it focuses, and the skills it seeks to develop; it includes an introduction to the themes of cooperation, communication, affirmation, and conflict resolution. The second chapter addresses the roots of conflict, the importance of transferring skills to daily life, and building a sense of trust. This is followed by chapters on preparation and planning, the facilitator's role, and teaching techniques. Subsequent chapters focus on the development of specific skills, such as cooperation, communication, affirmation of ourselves and others, creative conflict resolution, and the need to share feelings and develop trust. The concluding two chapters focus on evaluation of the program and expanding skills to meet wider needs. Appended supplementary concepts, activities, a bibliography, and a subject index
