Abstract
The initiative includes Operation Heritage, Operation Safe Trails, Operation Safe Homes, and the use of multidisciplinary teams. Operation Heritage addresses the problem of desecration and theft of religious artifacts and archeological items. Operation Safe Trails focuses on violent crimes, including homicide, child sexual abuse, and gang-related activity. Operation Safe Homes is intended to improve public housing and reduce the availability of drugs on Indian reservations.
