These volumes present the curriculum and resource materials for a 6-day workshop designed to improve juvenile justice management by examining how the human and financial resources of juvenile courts can be assessed and better allocated.
Abstract
This workshop was conducted 28 times nationally from 1973 through 1990 by the Institute for Court Management and is now ready for presentation at local, State, or regional levels. The program includes formal classroom presentations and group exercise work. A preseminar research assignment is mailed to all applicants and requires several hours to complete. The eight units cover the session objectives and methods, law and juvenile justice management, organizational design, management information systems, the improvement of probation management by organizational flexibility, personnel management, and the management of juvenile restitution programs. The manuals also contain guidelines for planning and organizing a workshop and obtaining facilities and resources. Background materials, forms, checklists, and other program materials
