Abstract
The goals of the course include describing the role of crime analysis in the delivery of police services and the implementation of the SHOCAP process and identifying and explaining the interrelationship of each of the steps in the crime analysis process. Other course goals are to help participants recognize the organizational and management issues that are raised through the implementation of crime analysis. In the course context, each participant will develop a plan for implementing or improving the crime analysis function in his/her agency. Instructor materials for each course module are included in this guide, along with the time schedule and chronology of activities for each day.
