Abstract
The bibliography was compiled from the Alcohol and Alcohol Problems Science Database, ETOH, an online, bibliographic database sponsored by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Each citation includes bibliographic information and an abstract. Topics include the effects of concurrent drug abuse and antisocial personality disorder on the relationship between alcoholism and violent crime, the National Crime Victimization Survey results regarding violence against women, barriers to cooperation between treatment centers focusing on domestic assault and those focusing on drug abuse, and differences between males who beat their wives and males who were battered. Additional papers focus on treatment strategies for alcohol-related domestic assault, the personality characteristics of abusive men, violence and drinking patterns among youth, the role of alcohol and other drugs in causing violence, the impact of domestic assault on women's use of alcohol, and the prevention of alcohol-related violence.
