The 8-minute video consists of comments by runaways as to what they have experienced in life on the streets as well as actual video of places where they have slept. They explain why they left home and describe the difficulties of surviving on the street, which has led many of them into prostitution, drugs, and theft. An article that describes the perils of life on the streets for runaways is also included, along with a role play script for "Life on the Streets." The third lesson informs youth about the places they can contact for help. The lesson outline includes an anticipatory set, purpose and objective, input and modeling, and a summary. Charts and an evaluation form are also included in the packet.
