The Network on Juvenile Sex Offenders in Nevada reports on the quantity and availability of services for juvenile sex offenders and the victims of such offenders, and suggests improvements.
Abstract
The Network recommends the following: (1) statewide Juvenile Sex Offender Coordinator; (2) comprehensive juvenile sex offender treatment program; (3) juvenile sex offender advisory board; (4) restitution by juvenile sex offenders; (5) family custody and payment for treatment; (6) training for all personnel who will be involved in multidisciplinary teams to handle juvenile sex offenders; (7) make available funding to sponsor the 1992 Annual Conference of the National Task Force on Juveniles Offending Sexually; (8) program evaluation by the Advisory Board and Coordinator; and (9) report to the Governor and Legislature by the Advisory Board and Coordinator. The report includes statistical data on juvenile sex offenses in Nevada; National Task Force recommendations; additional issues for consideration by State agencies; and a cost analysis.
