The workshop was organized to promote the exchange of technical information on current issues and developing opportunities in advancing technologies for drug abuse treatment and prevention. The Drug Testing/Monitoring Technology panel considered current and emerging developments for the noninvasive detection of illicit drug use through analysis of hair, sweat, urine and saliva, and reviewed several field testing activities.
