During 1992, the Juvenile Branch and the Domestic Relations Branch were reorganized, planning was initiated to renovate two major court facilities, and several automation objectives were realized in the Juvenile Branch and the Domestic Relations Branch. In addition, an exhaustive operational review of key units in the Domestic Relations Branch was completed. Two new units in the Juvenile Branch were established, the Electronic Monitoring Unit to supervise juveniles ordered confined at home and the State Intensive Aftercare Unit to enhance supervisor services to juveniles committed to State delinquent institutions. Plans for a major new unit for juvenile status offenders were also developed. Statistical and narrative summaries are included for the juvenile, domestic relations, adoption, and medical branches of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Family Court Division.
