The assessment focused on the appropriateness of the current organization for training, training program goals, whether the subject matter is relevant to participants' needs, the level of participants' motivation, what teaching methods are used, and the evaluation strategy. Nine training programs were selected for evaluation: traffic officers, police mentors, performance of police powers, criminal detectives, mobile detective groups, criminal information technology, registrars, and modern secretaries and public relations. Written documents about programs were assessed, and interviews were conducted with instructors. Questionnaires were administered to curriculum planners, organizers, and teachers. Based on the evaluation findings, recommendations are offered for planners, organizers, and teachers. The report advises that in modernizing the training system, it is most important to define the appropriate objectives for training in general and for individual programs prepared by various departments.
