Abstract
A number of new community-based programs were developed and implemented on a pilot basis in two urban and two rural areas of the State. Planning continued on schedule for the new Youth Secure Confinement Facility for chronic and serious juvenile offenders, and new living units at each of the facilities were put into operation. The Office of Juvenile Services joined the Nebraska Partnership Initiative, which will combine the State Departments of Aging, Health, Social Services, Public Institutions and the Office of Juvenile Services into a new Health and Human Services agency. The report includes: (1) an Agency Profile, with an Organizational Chart and Statutory Authority; (2) Adult Services (Mission Statement, Vision Points, Profiles of Nine Facilities, Adult Parole Administration, and Central Office Administration); (3) Office of Juvenile Services (Mission Statement, Organizational Chart, Vision Statement, Accomplishments, Profiles of Three Facilities, and Community Services Division); (4) Adult Statistics; (5) Juvenile Statistics; (6) Map and Rosters (locations of all facilities, rosters of adult and juvenile facilities and programs); and (7) Annual Report Committee Members.
