The court system's case management system for its automation project underwent rigorous testing during the year. The State disbursed approximately $94.2 million from general revenue funds to operate the judiciary. Personnel costs represented 95 percent of the judicial budget. The average age of case at disposition decreased from fiscal year 1997 in every category except for the associate civil category.
