An overview of the United Nations (UN) Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Program is presented, with information provided on basic resolutions and decisions of the UN General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council, and the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
Abstract
The resolutions are accompanied by a listing of reports, studies, and other documents that deal with crime prevention. Reports submitted to legislative, functional, and expert bodies of the UN and regular publications associated with the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Program are listed. Studies in various areas relevant to crime prevention and criminal justice are identified, as well as publications of the UN Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute and affiliated regional institutes.
