The students were interviewed in August 1993, October 1994, and October 1995. Interviews lasted about 1 hour, and usually took place in the home. Initially, the students were 10 to 14 years of age; at the time of the third wave (October 1995), the students were between 12 and 16 years of age. Students showed a relatively low stability of bullying behavior over the 3.5-year study period. Long-lasting bullying behavior during the school years was more or less strongly connected with other long-lasting characteristics of students, such as delinquent behavior, victimization, and living in a strained family environment. 43 references and 8 tables
