Juvenile offender statistics compiled by Nebraska Health and Human Services show the average population in two youth rehabilitation and development centers averaged 329,063 during fiscal year 1999 and the juvenile parole population averaged 604,975.
Abstract
There were 876 admissions to the two centers and 748 juveniles placed on parole during fiscal year 1999. Releases during the year totaled 664 from the centers and 601 from parole. Of parolees, 250 were returned for hearings and 194 had their parole revoked. Detailed statistical data on juveniles confined or on parole are tabulated that reflect location, sex, race, current age, county of commitment, reason for commitment, grade level, religious preference, length of stay in months, and commitment type.
