Abstract
Educating for peace is proposed as an alternative that involves engaging students in peaceful relations rather than simply teaching them techniques. Educating for peace is based on trust, responsibility, support, care, and love; it involves a mutual sharing of thoughts, ideas, and experiences rather than a hierarchical power relationship between teachers and learners. The concept of educating for peace specifically emphasis personal responsibility. Educating for peace is ultimately about doing peace rather than learning about peace in mere abstraction. 17 references and 3 notes
