This videotape presents a panel discussion of some of the issues facing young people, such as violence, AIDS, and drug abuse and examines the relationship between these issues and youth crime.
Abstract
The fifth in a series of six videotapes focused on helping young people stay drug-free, it describes effective community strategies to deal with the issues and problems faced by young people. The emphasis is on juvenile gangs, teenage pregnancy, and poverty as well as other health and social problems encountered by young people. A scientific overview of how drug abuse is related to health and social problems is provided, followed by a detailed panel discussion on organizing for effective solutions to youth crime.
