The report presents data on the background, purposes, activities and products of the Consortium and three individual programs: Application of the MST (Multisystemic Therapy) Model, Research on Juvenile Waiver and Research on Juvenile Crime Victims. The Consortium consists of 11 university-based interdisciplinary member centers and three affiliated organizations. By bringing together some of the most productive and thoughtful scholars in the field, the Consortium offered exceptional opportunities to “push the envelope” in analyzing important constructs and issues in laws focusing on children and families. In addition, graduate and professional students in Consortium institutions had the opportunity to learn directly from many of the leaders in the field. The Consortium conducted study groups, provided opportunities for interjurisdictional research to determine the effects of various approaches to child and family law and facilitated researchers’ access to networks of policymakers and practitioners.
