This volume, one in a series designed to profile individuals who have been at the center of debate on controversial topics, includes biographies of 50 persons who are key figures in the gun control debate.
Abstract
The debate over gun control is a complex and compelling one that has created a deep divide between supporters of gun rights and gun control. The biographies of individuals involved in gun control issues can be used by student researchers to explore the gun control debate. These individuals have become actively involved in either supporting gun control and stricter laws or in supporting the right to own and carry guns. Reasons for each individual's deep involvement in the gun control debate are highlighted, as well as different elements involved in the gun control debate as a whole. Appendixes contain references to additional resources, lists of Federal and State gun laws, and information on the right to keep and bear arms. References and photographs
