The Corruption Monitoring System (CMS) presents information that would enable conclusions about the scope of corruption in the country as well as related public attitudes, assessments, and expectations. The main objective of the anti-corruption initiative of Coalition 2000 is the enhancement of public intolerance of corruption and encouragement of measures leading to greater transparency, trust, and integrity. This was achieved by developing an Anti-Corruption Awareness Campaign Action Plan for Bulgaria, conducting an Anti-Corruption Awareness Campaign and implementing the CMS. The Coalition 2000 process has three main components: corruption assessment and development of an Anti-Corruption Action Plan, an Anti-Corruption Awareness Campaign, and monitoring corruption and corrupt behavior. The CMS includes several types of surveys with different periodicity.
